This policy covers "youtube-upload", a small private tool the creator of the Her Field Notes YouTube channel uses to publish her own videos. It is not offered to the public, and nobody else signs in to it.

What the tool accesses

When the channel owner signs in with Google, the tool asks for permission to manage uploads on her own YouTube channel. It uses that permission only to:

• confirm which channel the sign-in belongs to,
• upload her videos and set their titles, descriptions, tags and publish times,
• upload subtitles and cover images for those videos.

What it stores

The sign-in token is kept in the channel owner's own password manager. The tool does not run on a server and keeps no database.

What it does not do

• It does not collect data about viewers or anyone else.
• It does not sell or share any data.
• It does not read, change or delete videos it did not upload.
